UPPER SANDUSKY, Ohio (WTVG) - S.O.S. stands for “something ... on a shingle.” Since I was never in the Navy, this is my first time trying it at Jayme’s Place, 136 S Sandusky Ave, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.

Owner Jayme Cantu explains how she took over the breakfast, brunch, and lunch diner last year. She’s kept the tradition alive with “Granny’s Platter,” a nod to the former name of the restaurant. Jayme has also perfected the pancakes, which a lot of people call the BEST IN OHIO!

All of the meats are from Smith’s Family Foods in Tiffin. The syrup is from Herring Farm in Harpster. And the sweet tea is made right here in Upper. When it’s locally sourced, you know it’s top-notch.

In addition to Granny’s Platter and the S.O.S., we check out the Rueben Burger and Cinnamon Roll French Toast. I also had an Oatmeal Crème Pie Cheesecake, but the camera was done rolling. Don’t miss the pie!

Enjoy a stop at Jayme’s Place on this Dine in the 419!
