Authorities searching for suspect in Monroe County home invasion, stabbing

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Law enforcement officials are searching for a person who tried to stab a woman to death during a home invasion early Saturday morning, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Someone broke into a home in the 12,300 block of Townsend Road in London Township just after 4 a.m. on Jan. 24, officials said.

Deputies found a 28-year-old woman with several puncture wounds and cuts on her body. A 30-year-old man was also hurt during the attack, according to officials.

Both victims have been treated for their injuries.

The attacker got away and officials have not been able to identify or find them, deputies said. Anyone with information is urged to call the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
