Toledo parents indicted on a slew of charges after their 3-month-old dies from fractured skull
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Lucas County grand jury has indicted two parents on a slew of charges in the death of their infant child.
Danyelle Teague, 24, and Alejandro Hutton, 27, both of Toledo, have been indicted on charges including aggravated murder, murder, endangering children, involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault.
In a court appearance on Feb. 5, Teague and Hutton had their bond set at $1.8 million with no 10%.
Police said their 3-month-old baby, Zariah Hutton, suffered a fractured skull on Jan. 7, 2026, which led to the infant’s death on Jan. 12.
Court filings say medical professionals determined the child had multiple recent fractures, including to the baby’s skull and ribs.
They also determined the infant had previous healing injuries, also including fractures to the head and arm, that the parents did not seek care for.
They are expected to face a Lucas County Common Pleas judge in the coming days.
