TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Near-zero temperatures added to the difficulty for crews putting out a house fire on Hackett Rd. Thursday morning.

The call came in just before 3 a.m. for a house fire on Hackett Road between Parkwood and Collingwood.

Occupants of the two neighboring houses were evacuated. The occupants of the house on fire were not home at the time.

The nearby hydrants were frozen, forcing Toledo Fire & Rescue to connect to a hydrant on Highland.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
