Ohio Casino Control Commission seeks to fine Kalshi $5M

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG) - The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) announced Tuesday that it intends to impose a fine of $5 million against Kalshi for operating unlicensed sports gaming in the state.
According to a press release from the OCCC, it has issued a notice of its intent to impose a civil penalty or monetary fine in the amount of $5 million.
According to the release, Kalshi’s refusal to stop offering sports gaming in Ohio forced the commission to take action.
