Early morning Sylvania Twp. standoff ends in arrest

SYLVANIA TWP., Ohio (WTVG) - One suspect is in custody after a stand-off at a home Friday morning.

Numerous units from Sylvania Police, Sylvania Twp. Police and Toledo SWAT responded to a domestic violence call at the home on the 4100 block of Merriweather, in the area of Sylvania and Talmadge, around 2:37 a.m.

The suspect’s mother, wife and children were able to leave the home, when gunshots were heard, and the suspect barricaded himself inside.

Drones were used to locate the suspect inside the home.

He was apprehended around 5:40 a.m.
