WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW/Gray News) - A Wisconsin man accused of stealing a woman’s underwear from her home is facing multiple charges.

According to the Stevens Point Police Department, John Stalker was arrested after officers responded to a woman’s residence, where she reported that all her underwear had been stolen from her bedroom.

She reported that nothing else was taken from her room or from anywhere else in the home.

Investigators identified Stalker as the suspect after spotting him on a video taken from a nearby residence, police said.

Stalker’s charges included burglary and multiple counts of bail jumping, with those charges stemming from two open stalking cases.

During the investigation, officers said they found the woman’s underwear in his backpack.

Stalker appeared in Portage County Court on Wednesday for a bond hearing, where Judge Louis Molepske set a $40,000 cash bond.

The Stevens Point Police Department noted that it is also investigating Stalker for a similar case.

During the search of his property, investigators said they found more women’s underwear, but they were not connected to either of the cases that had been reported.

Stalker’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 22.
