Video from Tiffin drive-thru restaurant a finalist on AFV

TIFFIN, Ohio (WTVG) - A pair of bees was not part of her order. The momentary freak-out that followed was captured on security camera at Big Mike’s in Tiffin.

“I thought I’d use more of the cameras for like, security,” said Dan Perry, owner of the restaurant. His cameras recorded a woman jumping out of her vehicle in the drive-thru because a bee flew in through her window. After that, her car rolls away.

“Someone was like, ‘Hey, someone just got out of their car in the drive-thru.’ I’m like, ‘What?’ So, I got back, looked at the camera, and I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh. This is hilarious,’” said Perry. “A bee goes into her car before she can roll her window up where here reaction was just to get out, and so she opens the door, jumps out, didn’t have it in park and the car just kept rolling.”

Perry said he later tried to convince Angela Ospina, the customer in the video, to post the clip online.

“I said, ‘Angela, do you care if I post this video?’ And her reaction was, ‘I’d rather be dead,’” explained Perry, who added after a few weeks, Ospina changed her mind.

Now, the whole country is about to see the clip on AFV, America’s Funniest Videos, on ABC.

“It ended being funny because nothing bad happened. She was able to get in and stop it, so it made for a funny moment,” said Perry, who may very well end up splitting some cash with Ospina thanks to the clip, depending on the outcome of the competition.

The video is set to air on Sunday, March 16, 2025, during the episode that begins at 7 p.m. You can watch it locally in the Toledo area on 13abc.
