Browns select BGSU tight end in third round of 2025 draft

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (WTVG) - Highly-decorated Bowling Green State University tight end Harold Fannin Jr. was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the NFL Draft. The Browns took Fannin Jr. with pick No. 67.
Fannin Jr. played for the Falcons for three seasons. In 2023, his second season with the team, he led the team in receiving yards despite missing two games due to injury. Fannin Jr. also earned first-team All-MAC honors in 2023.
In his final season with the Falcons, Fannin Jr. earned first-team AP All-American honors along with the MAC Player of the Year and MAC Offensive Player of the Year honors. In 2024, he led the nation in receptions (117) and receiving yards (1,555), which were both single-season FBS tight end records.
Despite Bowling Green losing its bowl game to Arkansas State, he was named the MVP of the 68 Ventures Bowl after catching 17 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown.
Toledo defensive tackle Darius Alexander was picked two spots ahead of Fannin Jr. by the New York Giants.
