Blustery Monday evening with scattered strong storms; more rain Tuesday PM

Our warmest afternoon in the last 10 days will see those southwest gusts ramp up to 40 mph by the evening commute, prompting some building storms after 5pm to put out 50+ mph gusts and hail up to 1″ in diameter. More rain is likely overnight, with a brief morning lull before those showers really crank up Tuesday PM (1″+ rainfall possible through early Wednesday). Temps will once again tumble to the 50s to close out the week, with more scattered showers through the weekend. The silver lining: Mother’s Day will get those highs back to the mid-60s.
