Meet The Team

Lee Conklin is an Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter who’s been at 13abc for 30 years. He co-anchors the 5, 6, and 11 o’clock newscasts.

Sashem Brey grew up loving two things: talking and TV. Now she is proud and grateful to have made a career out of both!

Kristian Brown has been an integral member of the 13abc news team since 2002, anchoring the 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts alongside Lee Conklin, as well as the 7:00 p.m. newscast.

Christina joined 13 Action News in 2007 and currently anchors Action News at 4. She's also a member of our investigative unit, the I-Team.

Josh Croup started at 13abc in February 2021. The three-time Emmy Award winner is the station's digital anchor and weekend evening anchor.

You can watch Claire Mitchell anchor Action News Good Morning on weekdays. She is a Bowling Green State University Alumna, originally from Mentor, Ohio.

Gerald Harris is an experienced reporter, most recently working as a general assignment and political reporter for KHOU in Houston, TX. While there, Harris covered major political stories in Texas and Houston's Harris County, including the 2022 Governor's race.

Lissa has spent most of her life in the Toledo area with four generations of her family and decided at the age of five that she wanted to be a television anchor/reporter.

Shaun Hegarty serves as the Investigative Reporter for 13 Action News.

Alexis Means joined the 13abc Action News team in October of 2001 and has spent nearly two decades telling stories about the people and events happening in and around Toledo, Ohio.

Ethan grew up north of Columbus Ohio with his two brothers, twin sister, and parents. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in May 2022 and spends his weekday mornings reporting on the community at 13abc. Ethan is also serving as a second lieutenant in B CO. of the 148th Infantry Brigade in Bowling Green for the Ohio Army National Guard.

Imani Jackson joined the 13 Action News team in April 2026 as a multimedia journalist dedicated to telling meaningful, community-centered stories viewers can trust.

Lily Lowndes is a curious individual who believes in reporting with compassion and rigor. She joined 13ABC Action News as a multimedia journalist in September 2023.

Alexandria Manthey joined 13 Action News in May 2024 after graduating from Kent State University. She grew up in Oregon, Ohio and is honored to be telling stories in her hometown.

Matt Mergen joined 13 Action News as a multimedia journalist in July of 2024. He grew up in Stow, Ohio and graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School in 2019. After high school, Matt attended Kent State University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication with a concentration in media and society, along with a business minor.

Brianna Weaver joined 13 Action News in April 2026 after telling stories with WSAW in Wausau, Wisconsin for nearly two years. The Michigan native is excited to be closer to family and to be able to share the stories that matter most to you.

Dan joined the 13 First Alert Weather team in February 2019, and is currently in the role of 4pm/10pm meteorologist.

Derek joined the 13abc First Alert Weather Team in September of 2021. He was born and raised in Northwest Ohio, a graduate of Genoa High School, and The Ohio State University. You catch his forecasts at 6pm and 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays, plus select weekdays at noon.

Annie Giovannucci is a meteorologist who joined 13abc in the summer of 2025. Born and raised in Toledo, Annie is very familiar with Midwest weather and is happy to be home. She is a proud graduate of Springfield High School - Springfield Strong! She enjoys exploring new places, making new friends and volunteering at church in her free time.
